«Artists and designers as Gestalter, that is, configuration operators, continuously interrupt the routine cycle with theoretical moves.»

Giovanni Anceschi, 2015

«Now that the horizon is widening to side effects, we know that every communicative artefact leaves a trace, implies the use of resources, occupies a space of attention at the expense of another, produces waste. The ethics of responsibility opens the chapter of sustainable communication.»

Giovanni Baule, 2005

«The media are becoming “the great synchronizers of our times”: interfaces that amplify and mediate the world through images, words, signs, sounds. Multipliers of experiences, the media weave the canvas that envelops the planet ... »

Marisa Galbiati, 2012

«Since the distribution of all cultural forms is now based on the computer, we are increasingly “interfacing” with mainly cultural data: texts, photographs, films, music, virtual environments. Basically we are no longer dealing with a computer, but with a culture encoded in digital form.»

Lev Manovich, 2001

«Knowing the images that surround us means widening the possibilities of contact with reality; it means to see more and understand more.»

Bruno Munari, 1978

The educational programme – aimed at students with a solid cultural background and a high level of interest in the Design Culture – includes a Bachelor’s Degree Course in Communication Design and a Master’s Degree Course in Communication Design.

BACHELOR DEGREE

Educational path
The three-year Bachelor’s Degree course is aimed at training a professional designer who works in the field of visual communication, graphics, multimedia, and online interaction.

Knowledge will be developed to translate the elements of analysis and the information content framework into new artefacts and new communication formats, both through the application of analogue and digital communication technologies and through the integration of different systems and different media for realization of cross-media solutions.

Outgoing profile
At the end of the three-year period, the individual will be a designer who possesses the skills to carry out multiple technical design activities: from the moment of conception, to design, development, and implementation, up to the production of serial formats and diffusion into the media system.
